nage and develop relationships with DOT CDL drivers and increase overall driver satisfaction to improve safety and driver retention. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for a team player who is organized, thrives under pressure, knows how to prioritize, meet stringent deadlines, and keep multiple priorities moving at once. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Class A equipment maintenance and DOT/FMCSA requirements, along with experience managing preventive maintenance, repairs, vendors, invoices, equipment availability, and parts inventory. You'll build strong vendor relationships, monitor equipment needs, and help keep the fleet operating safely, efficiently, and reliably.
Fleet Manager (DOT) Here’s what you can expect:
• Maintaining a fleet of 47 refrigerated trailers and 34 Tractors
• Vendor/lease management
• Managing invoices from vendors
• Conduct weekly safety training
• Collaborate heavily with operations, vendors and customer(s)
• Provide real-time updates to customer(s) and team members on available units, subs and rentals
• Trailer/Tractor utilization
• Ensure employees have adequate knowledge and resources to accomplish assigned duties
• Administrative work (working in vendor portals, updating down and equipment being repaired etc.)
• Complete paperwork accurately and timely
• Preventive maintenance and repairs
• DVIR/pre-trip/post-trip compliance Management in Samsara
• Accident/incident/violation coordination
• Samsara/telematics
• Fleet availability
• Issue supplies, equipment - keep accurate records
• Driver equipment assignments
• Manage large amounts of email
• Safety Metrics
• Cost-per-mile/equipment-cost tracking

Fleet Manager (DOT) Requirements:
• Working knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations
• Must be available to work nights, weekends, and extended shifts as necessary
• Strong experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
• TMW Suite experience a plus
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English
• Bilingual in Spanish is a Plus
