The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing warehouse operations. These operations include shipping, inventory, delivery. Your goal will be to increase operational efficiency and ensure a safe environment. Responsibilities Oversee the overall daily operations and management of the company’s trucking business. Manage vehicle dispatch and reasonably arrange drivers, vehicles, and transportation tasks. Track daily container pickups, returns, deliveries, and exceptions to ensure timely completion. Responsible for driver recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, attendance, and daily communication. Manage driver performance and promptly address tardiness, absence, safety violations, and customer complaints. Familiar with and oversee DOT, FMCSA, ELD, HOS, and vehicle safety requirements. Regularly inspect vehicle conditions and develop maintenance and repair plans for trucks and trailers. Possess basic diagnostic ability for common truck mechanical issues, including tires, brakes, batteries, electrical systems, engines, and other common faults. Determine whether a vehicle can continue to operate safely or requires immediate out-of-service repair. Contact and manage repair shops, roadside assistance, tire vendors, and other related suppliers. Review repair plans, quotes, invoices, and service records to confirm that repairs are genuine, reasonable, and completed. Manage vehicle documents, insurance, annual inspections, registrations, and maintenance records. Manage fuel cards, tolls, repair costs, and other fleet operating expenses to control operating costs. Regularly report vehicle status, driver conditions, repair costs, and operational issues to company management. Establish and improve driver management, vehicle inspection, repair approval, and expense review processes. Handle emergency transportation, vehicle breakdowns, and driver issues occurring at night or on weekends. Complete other fleet operations-related tasks as assigned by the company. Qualifications At least 2 years of experience in trucking, fleet management, or a related industry; hands-on experience managing drivers, dispatch, and commercial vehicle maintenance and repair. Familiarity with port container pickup, container transportation, or warehouse distribution is preferred. Knowledge of the basic mechanical structure and common faults of diesel trucks. Ability to assess the severity of repair issues and communicate effectively with repair vendors. Familiar with DOT, FMCSA, ELD, and driver safety compliance requirements. Strong execution, sense of responsibility, and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented, able to proactively follow up on tasks and ensure issues are resolved. Good professional ethics and ability to strictly review company expenses and vendor invoices. Proficient with computers, email, and basic office software; experience with Motive ELD or PortPro is preferred. CDL or actual driving experience is preferred but not required. Ability to communicate in English with drivers, customers, repair shops, and suppliers.
