Fleet Manager

Key Responsibilities: Manage daily operations of assigned trucks and drivers Communicate with drivers and resolve operational issues Monitor truck and trailer maintenance and preventive maintenance (PM) Coordinate repairs with dealerships, shops, and roadside service providers Minimize truck downtime and keep equipment on the road Track maintenance expenses and control repair costs Monitor registration, permits, inspections, and equipment documentation Follow up on Samsara alerts and equipment-related issues Coordinate with Dispatch, Safety, Accounting, and HR departments Maintain accurate fleet records and provide management reports Ensure drivers properly report vehicle defects and maintenance issues Requirements: Experience in trucking, fleet management, or transportation operations preferred Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple trucks and drivers simultaneously Good understanding of semi-trucks, trailers, maintenance, and repair processes Strong organizational and follow-up skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Computer and transportation-management-system experience preferred What We’re Looking For: We need someone who takes ownership of the fleet, responds quickly to problems, controls downtime and expenses, and makes sure our trucks are safe, maintained, and ready to operate.
