Maverick TechAbout the Role As a Fleet Maintenance Technician, you will serve as a critical technical expert responsible for the health, safety, and reliability of our heavy-duty vehicle fleet. You will utilize advanced diagnostic tools to identify mechanical and electrical issues, ensuring our vehicles remain road-ready and compliant with all safety standards. Responsibilities Execute comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on engines, drivetrains, braking systems, and complex electrical components. Perform rigorous preventive maintenance inspections to proactively identify and resolve potential mechanical failures. Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot modern telematic and onboard vehicle systems. Conduct thorough test drives to verify repair quality and ensure optimal vehicle performance. Manage documentation of all service activities, including parts usage and labor time, through digital fleet management platforms. Provide on-site support for road calls and emergency field repairs as required. Maintain a high-standard, organized, and compliant workspace that adheres to all safety and environmental regulations. Qualifications Required Skills Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience maintaining medium or heavy-duty diesel fleets. Proficiency in utilizing computerized diagnostic software for complex troubleshooting. Strong understanding of DOT compliance requirements and safety protocols. Ability to interpret technical manuals and apply logical decision-making to repair processes. Possession of a comprehensive set of personal hand tools suitable for heavy-duty mechanical work. Demonstrated ability to manage maintenance scheduling and documentation effectively. Preferred Skills Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or the ability to obtain one within 90 days. Current ASE Certifications in areas such as Brakes, Suspension, Electrical, or Engine Repair. Prior experience as a Master Truck or School Bus Technician.
