Maverick TechAbout the Role As a Fleet Maintenance Technician, you will ensure the reliability and safety of our transportation fleet by performing complex diagnostics and high-quality repairs. You will play a critical role in maintaining operational uptime, ensuring that every vehicle meets rigorous safety standards before returning to the road. Responsibilities Execute comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on steering, braking, electrical, cooling, and drivetrain systems. Conduct thorough preventative maintenance inspections and perform post-service test drives to verify repair integrity. Support major component overhauls, including engines, transmissions, and differentials, to extend vehicle service life. Document all maintenance activities, including parts usage and labor time, to maintain accurate fleet records. Perform field repairs and road calls to minimize vehicle downtime and maintain service continuity. Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant workspace that adheres to all safety and environmental regulations. Proactively identify and report additional maintenance needs or safety concerns to leadership. Required Skills 2-4 years of professional experience in medium or heavy-duty fleet maintenance. Strong proficiency in electrical systems, AC repair, and diesel engine diagnostics. Ability to utilize modern diagnostic tools and interpret technical manuals. Valid CDL or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire. Possession of a comprehensive set of personal hand tools for heavy-duty repair. Preferred Skills Active ASE certifications in brakes, suspension, engine, electrical, or A/C systems. Master Truck Technician or Master School Bus Technician certification. Proven track record of working effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic fleet environment.
