Fleet Maintenance and Transportation Safety Supervisor

Fleet Maintenance Supervisor We are looking for a dynamic, highly skilled individual with proven experience and broad knowledge in the field of maintenance and repairs of heavy equipment – trucks and trailers – as well as knowledge in transportation safety, to join our team and work from our offices in Elmhurst, IL. Responsibilities: · To diagnose equipment damages, defects or mechanical problems successfully · To schedule and assign equipment repair work · To maintain equipment repair records and prepare maintenance related reports · To monitor fleet’s adherence to standard technical and mechanical specifications · To schedule and budget time, parts and labor related to fleet’s maintenance and repair · To follow up on maintenance and repair of equipment by actively communicating with assigned repair workshops, mechanics, drivers and management to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations. · To take action to prevent and/or correct unsafe conditions or potential damage of equipment · To investigate and report any accidents or incidents related to trucks and trailers equipment · To prioritize urgent repairs and replacements of equipment Daily involvement and support of Operations required · Other related duties may be assigned Education and Experience: · Any education and experience demonstrating broad knowledge of mechanical, technical and/or operational repairs and maintenance of heavy equipment – trucks and trailers · Sound knowledge of trucks and trailers technical specifications and standard Previous experience in transportation industry – trucking, heavy equipment maintenance, dispatch/operations or similar is ESSENTIAL.
