Fleet Leader Position Summary As a Fleet Leader, you will serve as a key liaison between drivers, customers, and operations, ensuring exceptional service, effective communication, and efficient fleet performance. You will support daily dispatch activities, foster strong driver relationships, facilitate customer satisfaction, and contribute to driver retention initiatives. This role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic transportation environment. Your Responsibilities Customer Service // Provide professional, positive, and timely support to customers while maintaining strong relationships and ensuring service expectations are met Driver Support // Assist drivers with dispatch instructions, load information, operational questions, and day-to-day support needs Driver Management // Manage assigned drivers through coaching, advocacy, communication, and support to improve operational success and retention Load Administration // Enter and maintain accurate freight and load information while ensuring compliance with applicable transportation and permit regulations Performance Improvement // Support driver performance management, recognition programs, retention initiatives, and performance improvement plans when necessary Orientation & Mentorship // Lead or support driver onboarding, orientation, mentorship programs, and driver advocate initiatives Operational Support // Assist with special projects, peak-period operations, and cross-functional initiatives as assigned by management Your Skillset Communication // Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders Relationship Building // Demonstrated ability to establish trust, maintain professional relationships, and foster driver engagement Organization // Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail Problem Solving // Proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing effective solutions in a fast-paced operational environment Customer Focus // Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and meeting service expectations Transportation Knowledge // Understanding of transportation operations, dispatch procedures, driver management, and regulatory requirements Minimum Qualifications A high school diploma or equivalent. Customer Service // Demonstrated ability to provide professional customer service in a fast-paced environment Computer Proficiency // Experience utilizing transportation management systems, dispatch software, and Microsoft Office applications Data Entry Experience // Ability to maintain accurate records and process operational information with attention to detail Preferred Qualifications At least (3) years of experience in transportation operations, dispatch, fleet management, or driver leadership.
