Position Overview We are seeking a dependable, mechanically skilled Fleet & Facilities Technician to perform hands-on upkeep of vehicles, boats, ATVs, equipment, and properties. This position combines routine fleet maintenance with general handyman repairs, facilities upkeep, and support for ranch projects. The ideal candidate takes initiative, works safely, and helps keep assets clean, functional, and ready for use. Job Type: Full-time, hourly, non-exempt Compensation: $25-28/hour paid bi-weekly. Benefits include employer-sponsored medical insurance, seven paid holidays, accrual of paid time off (PTO), and participation in the company's 401(k)/Roth retirement plan. Schedule: 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday; Participating in a rotating on-call schedule approximately one week a month is required, with occasional evening and weekend work when emergencies or special events require. Location: Marble Falls, Texas, and surrounding Central Texas properties Reports To: Facilities Director Key Responsibilities Vehicle, Boat & Equipment Upkeep Inspect vehicles, boats, ATVs, and equipment regularly to identify maintenance needs, damage, and safety concerns; promptly report issues to the Facilities Director. Perform routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs within the scope of training and experience, including checking fluids, batteries, tires, lights, and general operating condition. Clean and care for vehicle interiors and exteriors, boats, and related equipment; keep assets fueled, properly stored, and ready for use. Perform routine boat care, including checks of batteries, onboard equipment, and safety equipment; assist with launching, docking, storage, and seasonal preparation. Safely operate manual- and automatic-transmission vehicles, boats, ATVs, tractors, skid steers, and other equipment as trained and authorized. Identify mechanical problems requiring specialized service and notify the Facilities Director; assist with moving assets for service as directed. Facilities, Handyman & Ranch Maintenance Inspect buildings, docks, garages, utility structures, and grounds; perform routine upkeep and minor repairs. Repair doors, locks, gates, fencing, fixtures, and hardware; install or repair shelving, cabinetry, and other building components. Perform minor carpentry, drywall patching, painting, caulking, and welding within the scope of training and experience. Troubleshoot basic plumbing problems, including leaks, clogs, and fixture issues; perform minor repairs as appropriate. Replace light bulbs and air filters; assist with basic lighting, electrical, HVAC, water-system, and appliance maintenance within the scope of training and authorization. Repair and maintain ranch infrastructure, including corrals, shelters, barns, sheds, and gates. Assist with construction and renovation tasks, including framing, roofing, plumbing, and electrical work under appropriate supervision. Follow blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions; complete assigned maintenance requests promptly and professionally. Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and in good working condition; follow applicable safety procedures and report hazards. Qualifications Hands-on experience maintaining vehicles and boats, together with experience in facilities maintenance, handyman work, construction, or a related field. Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical components, drywall, and general building systems.
