We are a growing automotive maintenance and repair operation serving fleet management companies and rental car businesses. We are looking for a motivated, knowledgeable, and results-driven Fleet Automotive Service Advisor & Repair Estimator who knows how to turn vehicle repair recommendations into approved, completed jobs. This is a critical position in our operation. We need someone who understands automotive repairs, communicates professionally with fleet customers, and takes ownership of getting work approved and moving through the shop. We are not looking for someone who simply writes estimates. We are looking for someone who takes responsibility, follows through, and helps keep our mechanics productive and our business growing. Key ResponsibilitiesAutomotive Estimating & Repair Knowledge Work directly with 6–10 automotive mechanics to review vehicle inspections, diagnoses, and repair recommendations. Prepare accurate, detailed estimates that include required parts, labor times, and pricing. Understand routine maintenance and mechanical repairs, including brakes, tires, suspension, engine diagnostics, and preventive maintenance. Ensure estimates accurately reflect necessary repairs and supporting documentation. Identify additional legitimate maintenance needs based on vehicle inspections and manufacturer recommendations. Fleet Approvals & Sales Submit repair estimates to fleet management and rental car companies through Auto Integrate, ServiceUp, and other applicable systems. Communicate directly with fleet authorization departments by phone, email, and online platforms. Professionally explain repair needs, pricing, labor, and the importance of recommended maintenance. Negotiate approvals when necessary while following company pricing policies. Follow up consistently on pending estimates and resolve authorization delays. Maximize approved, legitimate repair opportunities without compromising accuracy or customer trust. Job Management & Follow-Through Track repair orders from initial diagnosis through approval and completion. Communicate approved work and priorities clearly to mechanics. Monitor pending approvals, repair progress, and outstanding jobs. Work closely with the administrative team, which oversees invoicing and supports job tracking. Help prevent unnecessary vehicle downtime, missed approvals, and unfinished repair orders. Escalate delays, parts issues, and other problems before they affect customer commitments. What We're Looking For Our ideal candidate has three equally important strengths: 1. Automotive Knowledge You understand how vehicles work, can interpret mechanic recommendations, and know how to prepare accurate maintenance and repair estimates. 2. Sales & Communication Skills You can explain necessary repairs confidently, communicate with fleet authorization departments, handle objections professionally, and secure approvals. 3. Ownership & Accountability You don't wait for someone to remind you to follow up. You stay organized, prioritize urgent jobs, solve problems, and help make sure work gets completed. Qualifications Experience in automotive service advising, repair estimating, fleet maintenance, or a related field preferred. Strong automotive knowledge combined with proven sales ability may be considered in place of direct service-writing experience. Ability to understand mechanical diagnoses, parts requirements, and labor estimates. Strong phone communication, negotiation, and customer service skills. Comfortable using computers, repair management systems, and online authorization platforms. Experience with Auto Integrate and ServiceUp is highly preferred , but training is available for qualified candidates. Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple repair orders simultaneously. Dependable, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a busy automotive repair environment. Compensation & Schedule Compensation: $60,000–$75,000 annually, based on experien…
