Fleet Acquisitions Manager

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Fleet Acquisitions Manager to lead our vehicle procurement and fleet expansion initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the sourcing, negotiation, and acquisition of fleet accounts, ensuring alignment with operational needs, company growth, and compliance standards. Duties Lead the end-to-end procurement process for fleet vehicles, including sourcing, vendor selection, and retainment. Develop and execute sourcing strategies that align with company goals for cost efficiency, vehicle quality, and sustainability initiatives. Manage vendor relationships through effective vendor contract management, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and performance standards. Oversee Accounts Receivable and Fleet Management systems for streamlined and efficient workflow and payment processing. Oversee inventory management systems to monitor fleet vehicle availability, lifecycle status, and maintenance schedules; utilize ERP systems for real-time data analysis via Excel or similar tools. Collaborate with logistics and supply chain teams to coordinate vehicle delivery schedules, inventory control processes, and distribution logistics. Maintain comprehensive records of procurement activities, contracts, vendor performance metrics, and compliance documentation in line with company policies. Qualifications Proven experience in procurement management and/or outside sales within the automotive industry with a focus on fleet or vehicle acquisition. Demonstrated ability in price negotiation, contract negotiation, and vendor management to secure optimal purchasing terms. Outstanding Customer Service skills. Expertise in sourcing strategies for automotive or fleet vehicles; familiarity with automated procurement systems is highly desirable. Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in Excel data analysis to support purchasing decisions and inventory control. Leadership experience in team management or cross-functional project coordination within procurement or supply chain functions. Solid understanding of logistics operations, inventory control practices, and manufacturing processes related to fleet acquisition.
