Flatbed Trailer Mechanic

Job Description Dispatch Border Services LLC is seeking a dependable and experienced Trailer Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have experience inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing commercial trailers to ensure they remain safe, operational, and compliant with DOT regulations. Job Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on commercial trailers, primarily flatbeds. Diagnose and repair trailer brake systems, air lines, suspension systems, wheel bearings, and electrical systems. Inspect and repair trailer lights, wiring, tires, and other components. Perform repairs to trailer structures, including floors, decking, landing gear, and other equipment as needed. Identify mechanical issues and recommend necessary repairs. Conduct DOT inspections and ensure trailers meet applicable safety standards. Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs performed. Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized. Follow company safety procedures and proper maintenance practices. Assist with additional maintenance tasks and other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience in commercial trailer maintenance and repair preferred. Knowledge of trailer brake systems, suspension, electrical components, and general mechanical repairs. Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs independently. Familiarity with DOT inspection requirements and safety regulations. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely. Welding experience is a plus. Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Must be physically capable of lifting heavy components, bending, kneeling, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Schedule Full-time position Monday through Friday Additional hours or overtime may be required based on operational needs.
