Flatbed Tow Truck Operator

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Flatbed Tow Truck Operator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles using a flatbed tow truck, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring efficient operations across various towing assignments. Your mechanical knowledge, driving expertise, and ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism will be essential to succeed in this energetic environment. Duties Operate flatbed tow trucks safely and efficiently to transport vehicles from accident sites, breakdowns, or storage facilities Load and unload vehicles using appropriate equipment such as winches, straps, and forklifts when necessary Conduct basic automotive diagnostics and mechanical assessments to determine the best course of action for vehicle recovery or repair needs Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, dispatchers, and emergency responders Maintain accurate logs of all towing activities, including vehicle details, locations, and times Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws to ensure safe operations at all times Assist with minor automotive repairs or mechanical troubleshooting as needed based on mechanic experience Qualifications Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record and experience operating flatbed tow trucks Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive diagnostics and repair Familiarity with manual transmissions and automotive systems Experience with automotive recovery equipment such as winches, straps, and forklifts is preferred Excellent driving skills with the ability to maneuver large vehicles in tight spaces Ability to handle conflict management situations professionally and calmly Prior experience in automotive repair or mechanic work is a plus Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities Join us to be part of a dedicated team that values safety, efficiency, and outstanding service.
