Duties Safely operate flatbed trucks on regional over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Load, secure, and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo safety during transit Navigate using GPS systems to follow optimized delivery routes, maintaining punctuality and efficiency Transport various types of freight including freight requiring specialized handling such as hazardous materials (Hazmat), dangerous goods, or tanker loads Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure truck safety and compliance with trucking regulations Load and unload cargo at delivery points, managing logistics cargo handling with attention to detail and safety protocols Document all deliveries accurately, including load details, delivery confirmations, and compliance paperwork for hazardous or special cargo Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on flatbed or tractor-trailer operations Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, tanker trucks, or automobile transportation is a plus Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements for Hazmat and tankers preferred Demonstrated knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, DOT rules, and safe manual handling practices Experience with route driving across regional OTR routes with a track record of punctual deliveries Skilled in truck loading and unloading procedures, including securing loads on flatbeds for safe transit Prior delivery driver experience involving freight handling, route planning using GPS navigation systems, and managing dangerous goods safely Embark on a career that combines adventure with professionalism!
