In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating flatbed trucks to deliver goods efficiently and reliably to our valued customers. When not doing deliveries you will be helping in the yard with customers, stocking material and keeping yard clean. Heavy lifting is required. Responsibilities Safely operate flatbed trucks, including manual transmission models, to deliver products across designated routes. Load and unload cargo using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling and secure placement. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients during deliveries, addressing questions, and ensuring satisfaction. Assist in warehouse activities such as inventory management, moving goods within the facility, and preparing shipments for delivery. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met; report any maintenance issues promptly. Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while route driving to maintain a safe work environment. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery records in compliance with company policies. Qualifications Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving box trucks or similar vehicles preferred. Proven delivery driver experience, especially with route driving and load & unload responsibilities. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally and courteously. Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks safely; comfortable with moving goods manually when necessary. Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy lifting, moving cargo, and driving large vehicles.
