Job Summary We are seeking experienced Flatbed 48 ft Drivers for Over-the-Road (OTR) routes only, with a minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate flatbed trucks across long distances, delivering freight efficiently and safely. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for transporting various types of freight, including loads such as coils, pipes, lumber, shingles, bricks and other flatbed cargo. Your expertise in route driving, load & unload procedures, and adherence to safety standards will ensure smooth operations on every trip. Duties Safely operate 48 ft flatbed trucks on OTR routes, ensuring timely deliveries across multiple states or regions. All 48 states are operated ! Securely load and unload freight using appropriate equipment; may include manual handling of tarps, chains and straps. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and load securement. Manage route planning efficiently to optimize delivery schedules while adhering to Hours of Service regulations. Handle documentation such as delivery receipts, bills of lading, and inspection reports accurately and promptly. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delays, or issues encountered during trips. Maintain compliance with all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and company safety policies throughout each journey. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of professional truck driving experience with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License), preferably with manual transmission skills Proven experience operating flatbed trucks or similar tractor-trailer units on long-haul routes (We will require an Verification of Employment for your work history) Familiarity with freight types of flatbed loads or other specialized equipment like step decks is a plus. Strong understanding of load securement techniques for flatbed cargo and ability to handle freight safely during transit is a must. Ability to drive route efficiently while maintaining safety standards and following all traffic laws. Experience with freight handling equipment such as forklifts is advantageous but not mandatory Excellent communication skills for clear interaction with dispatchers and customers Pay Our pay program is based only by percentage of gross : 28% to driver Our bonuses depend on the ability to bring good inspections and avoid violations. Next step for an increase of 1% is 6 months on the job without any viloations , accidents or OOS (Out Of Service) We can go up to 30% in one year (If the 2 periods of 6 months each are passed without bad inspections with violations, OOSs and/or accidents.
