Fish Prep & Warehouse Associate Location: Indianapolis, IN Pay: $15.00–$17.00 per hour, depending on experience Schedule: Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday daytime About On the Hook Fish and Chips On the Hook Fish and Chips is a nationwide food truck company serving communities across the United States. We're looking for a dependable, hardworking Fish Prep & Warehouse Associate to join our growing Indianapolis operation. This is a hands-on, behind-the-scenes food-prep position responsible primarily for preparing and portioning fish for our food trucks. It may be a great fit for someone with restaurant, prep-cook, line-cook, or other commercial kitchen experience who is looking for steady Monday–Friday daytime work without traditional restaurant nights and weekends. Previous fish-cutting experience is preferred. We will train you. What You'll Do: Fish & Food Prep — Primary Responsibility Defrost, prepare, cut, and portion fish fillets for our food trucks Follow company portion and quality standards Follow proper food-handling, food-safety, and sanitation procedures Maintain a clean and sanitary food-preparation area Clean and properly store knives, equipment, and supplies Organize and properly store prepared product Warehouse & Facility Support When fish prep is complete, you'll also help with the day-to-day operation of our commissary, including: Receive and put away incoming shipments Help stage and organize supplies for daily food truck operations Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation Keep warehouse and work areas clean and organized Sweep and mop floors Take out trash and maintain waste areas Clean and maintain the employee restroom Assist with other general facility duties as needed Warehouse experience is not required. What We're Looking For Previous restaurant kitchen, prep-cook, line-cook, food-production, or similar experience is preferred ServSafe, Food Handler, or other food-safety training/certification is a plus Understanding of the importance of sanitation and safe food handling Dependable and punctual Strong work ethic and attention to detail Comfortable performing repetitive food-preparation work Comfortable handling raw fish for several hours at a time Comfortable working independently Willing to help with cleaning, inventory, receiving, and other commissary duties when needed Able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks throughout the workday Schedule This is a full-time position of approximately 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday . Work is performed during our normal operating hours of 8:30 AM–5:00 PM , with some flexibility in specific start and end times based on operational needs. This position does not require a traditional restaurant evening or weekend schedule. Compensation $15.00–$17.00 per hour, depending on experience.
