Fire Truck Body Technician

Industry-leading wage compensation Incentive plan and bonuses Healthcare 401(k) Tool maintenance and protection program DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare cabs, bodies, and parts for refinishing by grinding/sanding and body filler/seam sealer application De-nib, cut/buff painted surfaces to achieve end product finish standards Willingness to share and teach lesser skilled techs to help advance their development Perform at a high level and be able to follow strict quality standards Positive attitude and being team oriented is required Perform other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Essential Work Experience): Grade 12 graduate or GED Valid driver’s license- CDL is desired but not required. Experience is preferred but willing to train the right candidate No tools required to start. Basic tools will be provided and you can add your own as needed/desired Experience with shop safety, shop work practices, mechanical systems and use of hand and power tools PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and completing work with a sense of urgency Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Sense of sound is required. Sense of balance is required. Limb and finger dexterity is required. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to perform twisting, turning, bending, climbing, pushing, and pulling motions. Ability to lift at least 50lbs.
