The Canadian Tire FP&A team plays an important role in helping the business understand performance, anticipate what’s ahead, and make better financial decisions. What you'll do: Support the monthly forecasting and annual budgeting process for the SC&T cost centers Analyze transportation and logistics costs, including freight, fuel, and carrier expenses, and identify trends and variances Turn financial results into a story, delivering monthly reporting and variance analysis with clear commentary on what happened, why it happened, and what it means for the business. Partner with Supply Chain and Transportation operations teams to understand cost drivers and support decision-making Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate transportation network costs, route optimization initiatives, and vendor/carrier contracts Connect financial and operational performance by monitoring KPIs such as cost per unit shipped, cost relative to volume, and other measures of efficiency. Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and business cases to support capital and operational investment decisions Support month-end close activities, including accruals and journal entries related to SC&T costs Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in reporting and analysis workflows Ensure data integrity and consistency across financial systems and reporting tools Support month-end activities, including accruals and journal entries, while helping maintain accurate and consistent financial information across reporting systems.
