Financial Analysis Senior Manager
LegrandAt a Glance Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Operations Finance Manager, on-site in West Hartford. The Senior Operations Finance Manager serves as a strategic business partner to Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Division Finance leadership. This role is responsible for leading financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and business decision support across Materials, Value Add, Inventory, Capital, and Strategic Projects. The position plays a critical role in driving operational performance, productivity improvements, cost optimization, and financial transparency throughout LNCA. The individual collaborates across functions to lead key initiatives, provide actionable insights to executive leadership, and developed a high-performing team focused on continuous improvement and value creation. What Will You Do? Materials Finance Leadership Lead financial oversight of direct and indirect material spend across LNCA. Partner with Supply Chain and Strategic Sourcing teams to evaluate commodity trends, supplier performance, and cost reduction initiatives. Develop material cost forecasting models and provide guidance for budget and strategic planning cycles. Analyze purchase price variance, inflation impacts, sourcing actions, and margin implications. Support material productivity programs and monitor realization of savings commitments. Value Add and Manufacturing Performance Lead reporting and analysis of value-added costs, including labor, overhead, manufacturing productivity, and operational efficiencies. Partner with operations and manufacturing leadership to identify productivity opportunities and improve profitability. Develop and maintain operational performance dashboards and key performance indicators. Analyze gross margin drivers and provide recommendations to improve operational performance. Support monthly business reviews, operational reviews, and executive presentations. Inventory and Working Capital Management Oversee inventory reporting, forecasting, and analytics across LNCA. Support inventory optimization initiatives while maintaining service and operational objectives. Monitor inventory turns, excess and obsolete inventory, slow-moving inventory, and working capital performance. Partner with Operations and Supply Chain teams on inventory reduction strategies and network optimization initiatives. Strategic Projects and Business Development Act as lead finance partner on major operational initiatives, including footprint optimization, manufacturing transfers, capacity expansions, automation investments, and supply chain transformation projects. Develop business cases, return on investment analyses, net present value analyses, and scenario models for strategic investments. Support mergers, acquisitions, and integration activities as required. Provide financial leadership for cross-functional project teams and ensure achievement of project objectives. Present project recommendations and financial impacts to senior leadership. Planning, Forecasting, and Reporting Lead annual budget, forecast, and long-range planning processes for operations-related functions. Improve financial planning methodologies and enhance forecast accuracy. Coordinate monthly close activities and operational performance reviews. Prepare executive-level presentations and financial analyses for leadership teams. Partner across divisions to drive consistency of reporting processes. Team Leadership and Development Lead, coach, support, and develop finance professionals within the Operations Finance organization. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and business partnership. Establish priorities, workload management, and career development plans for team members. Promote standardization, automation, and best practices across Operations Finance. Ability to travel approximately 15-25% as needed.
