Job Summary Finance, Operations & Marketing Manager Foster Babcock & Associates | Kansas City, Missouri Seeking a Multi-Skilled Finance, Operations & Marketing Manager for a Small Business About the Position Foster Babcock & Associates is seeking a highly organized, analytical, and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Finance, Operations & Marketing Manager . This is a diverse, hands-on position that combines financial management, operational analysis, reporting, marketing support, and vendor coordination. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working independently, can manage multiple priorities, and is comfortable analyzing information to identify problems and opportunities. This position works closely with the company owners and plays an important role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective commission payroll processing, operational performance, marketing analysis, and resolution of vendor and warehouse discrepancies. Key Responsibilities Financial Operations & Reporting Reconcile company bank accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records Process and pay company bills accurately and on time Calculate and administer commission-based payroll Prepare financial reports and summaries for company owners Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions Monitor and administer rebate programs Data Analysis & Reporting (For the manufacturers and suppliers we represent) Pull reports from internal databases and analyze advertising performance Evaluate the effectiveness of advertised specials and promotional programs Analyze sales and promotional data to determine return and effectiveness Prepare reports and present findings and recommendations to management Identify trends, opportunities, and areas requiring attention Inventory & Shipping Performance (For the manufacturers and suppliers we represent) Analyze shipping performance and fill rates Identify trends and recurring fulfillment issues Determine whether specific SKUs are contributing to inventory shortages or fulfillment problems Monitor order fulfillment and inventory accuracy Research discrepancies between orders, shipments, and warehouse receipts Provide analysis to help improve inventory and fulfillment performance Marketing & Promotions Assist with planning and coordinating marketing promotions Track promotional budgets and spending Analyze promotional results and effectiveness Maintain accurate records of marketing activities and expenditures Provide recommendations based on performance data Dispute Resolution & Vendor Coordination (For the manufacturers and suppliers we represent) Investigate reported item shortages when company records indicate the items were shipped in full Research and dispute fill-rate penalties or fines when warehouse receiving records appear to be incorrect Review supporting documentation, reports, and shipment records Communicate with vendors, warehouses, and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies Follow issues through to resolution and maintain appropriate documentation Required Skills & Qualifications Highly disciplined and comfortable working independently Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to proactively recognize priorities and take action Experience with financial reconciliation, accounts payable, and payroll calculations Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work with databases, spreadsheets, and reports to extract and analyze information Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, small-business environment Strong computer and technology skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with commission-based compensation Experience with QuickBooks Familiarity with inventory management, logistics, or supply-chain metrics Experience resolving vendor, warehouse, or shipping discrepancies Advanced Excel and data-analysis…
