Role Description The Final Mile Delivery Owner Operator or Broker is responsible for managing and executing last-mile deliveries for parcel and package shipments in Ontario, CA. This is an on-site role that involves coordinating daily delivery routes, loading and unloading packages, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries, and maintaining clear communication with dispatch, clients, and recipients. The role includes overseeing vehicle readiness and compliance, using logistics technology for route optimization and proof of delivery, and addressing delivery issues or exceptions in a professional manner. Owner Operators or Brokers will also manage relevant documentation, follow safety and sustainability practices, and represent Precision’s commitment to customer experience and integrity in every interaction. Qualifications Strong delivery operations skills, including route planning, time management, and familiarity with final mile logistics. Ability to use handheld devices, GPS, and logistics software for tracking, navigation, and proof of delivery. Excellent customer service and communication skills to support a positive delivery experience and resolve issues effectively. Knowledge of safe driving practices, vehicle maintenance basics, and adherence to transportation regulations. Ownership of or access to a reliable, properly insured delivery vehicle suitable for parcel and package transport (for Owner Operators/Brokers). Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver packages safely, and work in a fast-paced, on-site environment. Demonstrated reliability, integrity, and attention to detail in handling customer shipments and documentation. Previous experience in courier, parcel delivery, or logistics is an asset; familiarity with sustainable delivery practices is beneficial. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required; eligibility to work in Canada and meet local compliance standards.
