Film Distribution & Sales Assistant

We are a Los Angeles-based film production company focused on developing and producing commercial films with international themes and appeal. We are seeking a Film Distribution & Sales Assistant to support our outreach to U.S. and international distributors, sales agents, and industry partners. Working directly with the producer, you will help prepare project materials, coordinate business communications, and follow up on distribution opportunities. This is a junior-to-mid-level support position suited to someone with relevant film industry experience, strong organizational skills, and an interest in international film distribution and sales. In this role, you will: Research and contact U.S. and international film distributors, sales agents, film festivals, and industry organizations. Prepare and organize project information, pitch materials, distribution proposals, promotional assets, and business documents. Manage professional email correspondence, schedule meetings, and track outreach and follow-up activities. Coordinate communications and meetings related to potential distribution and sales partnerships. Assist with participation in film markets, industry events, and in-person business meetings. Support project promotion and distribution initiatives under the producer’s guidance. We are looking for someone with: At least 2 years of experience in film distribution, international sales, film production, or a closely related field. Fluent written and spoken English, with the ability to handle professional business correspondence independently. Familiarity with the Hollywood film industry and a working understanding of film distribution and sales processes. Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills. Attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to manage day-to-day coordination tasks independently. Existing relationships with distributors, sales agents, or other film industry professionals are a plus.
