Field Operations & Labor Strategy Manager
Location: Las Vegas, NV Schedule: Full-Time, Onsite
Compensation: $70,000 – $95,000 annually, depending on experience
A leading event and exhibition services organization is seeking a Field Operations & Labor Strategy Manager to oversee labor planning, workforce deployment, and on-site operational execution for large-scale events. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, understands union labor dynamics, and can balance operational discipline with strong team relationships.
Role Overview
The Field Operations & Labor Strategy Manager is responsible for coordinating labor resources across multiple events, ensuring the right teams are scheduled, safety standards are upheld, and labor budgets remain aligned with operational goals. This leader partners closely with operations leadership, department heads, and third-party labor partners to deliver seamless event execution.
This is a hands-on, in-person role based in Las Vegas with regular work on show sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise union, vendor, and part-time labor teams during event setup, execution, and teardown
- Oversee labor scheduling, forecasting, and deployment to ensure operational efficiency and cost alignment
- Partner with operations and department leaders to determine labor qualifications and staffing needs for each event
- Monitor labor usage and adjust staffing plans when requirements exceed projections
- Manage timecard submission, labor documentation, and records for payroll and billing accuracy
- Maintain and update performance evaluations for part-time show staff
- Support CAD diagram preparation for internal teams when needed
- Promote and enforce a proactive safety culture, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and internal safety policies
- Investigate and document workplace incidents, near misses, and hazards; implement corrective actions
- Track safety metrics and use data insights to improve outcomes
- Uphold company standards related to customer service, professionalism, attendance, and team conduct
- Perform additional operational duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Minimum 2 years of management experience
- Experience working within a collective bargaining environment required
- Experience managing multi-site or event-based workforces preferred
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to identify trends and drive operational improvements
- Proven ability to lead teams in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Strong communication, organizational, and delegation skills
- Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and workplace safety practices
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
