Overview:

We're on the hunt for a dynamic Field Logistics Advisor! Your mission: spearhead the safe, effective, and cost-efficient delivery of Ground Transportation (Bus) services in the Wood Buffalo area. You will have safety, operational and execution accountability, while ensuring effective, consistent management of ground transportation in alignment with business goals.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3 years minimum of experience in Transportation & Logistics operations, Planning & Scheduling, or a related field is required

  • 3 years minimum of experience in the Oil and Gas industry, showcasing strong critical thinking skills

  • A degree or diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 2+ years of experience in contractor management, including contract interpretation, is advantageous

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure vendor safety, compliance, and incident management

  • Manage transportation routes, schedules, and service requests

  • Oversee vendor performance, meetings, and onsite support needs

  • Handle scopes of work, invoices, and finance coordination

  • Drive process improvements with vendors and internal teams
     

Location and other Key details:

  • You will work out of our Suncor Base Plant located in Fort McMurray, AB

  • Your regular hours  of work will be Monday to Friday, with an expectation of after-hours and on-call availability one week each month
