Job Overview About InterLux Interiors InterLux Interiors is a luxury interior design firm based in Tampa with projects in Tampa and Miami. We design residential, commercial, and yacht interiors for clients who expect the work to be right the first time. Our projects are fully furnished, turnkey installations. We specify, purchase, track, and install every piece in the home, and we run our own drapery workroom. We are a small team with high standards and a fast pace. The role You own everything that happens between a design being approved and the furniture being in the room. That means pricing, proposals, vendor contracts, purchase orders, vendor follow-up, receiving, inspection, storage, delivery, and installation day. You connect the design intent to real budgets, lead times, and construction schedules, and you keep the client and the project team informed from planning through install. You work directly with the Principal Designer and the design team, and you are the person vendors, workrooms, receivers, contractors, and installers call. This is a hands-on, detail-heavy job. A typical project has 100 to 600 line items across 30 to 60 vendors, and several projects run at once. You are expected to know where every item is and when it will arrive without being asked. What you will do Pricing and proposals Request quotes from vendors and trade showrooms and confirm specs, finishes, COM/COL requirements, lead times, and freight. Build client proposals and FF&E budgets in our project software from the designers' specifications. Review vendor contracts, terms, deposits, and cancellation policies before anything is ordered. Keep the FF&E spec book current: manufacturer, model, finish, dimensions, quantity, room, supplier, and price. Purchasing Issue purchase orders once client deposits clear and confirm every order in writing with the vendor. Track acknowledgments, ship dates, and backorders, and chase vendors before dates slip, not after. Manage COM/COL: order fabric, confirm yardage, ship to the workroom, and confirm receipt. Coordinate our in-house drapery workroom and outside workrooms on measurements, fabrication, and delivery dates. Maintain vendor and trade accounts, resale certificates, and account applications. Logistics and receiving Schedule freight, receiving, inspection, and storage with our receiving warehouse. Review damage and inspection reports, open freight claims, and get replacements ordered the same week. Coordinate FF&E delivery and lighting fixture arrivals with the contractor's construction schedule, the electrician, and the lighting designer so nothing arrives before the site is ready. Plan and run installation days: delivery sequencing, installer crews, punch lists, and client walkthroughs. Tracking and reporting Keep a live status on every line item for every project and send a weekly status report to the Principal Designer and the client. Reconcile vendor invoices against purchase orders and flag discrepancies to accounting. Keep all documents filed under the InterLux naming and Drive filing standard. What you bring Required Bachelor's degree in interior design or a related field. 5 or more years in FF&E procurement, purchasing, or expediting in the interior design industry, at a residential or hospitality design firm. You have run full turnkey installs from purchase order to punch list and can describe one in detail. Working knowledge of trade vendors, showrooms, custom upholstery, case goods, lighting, rugs, and window treatments, including COM/COL and workroom process. Experience with design and procurement software and strong Excel or Google Workplace skills. Able to read interior design drawings, elevations, and spec sheets. Fluent English, written and spoken.
