This is a high-impact role combining procurement, supplier relationship management, commercial negotiations, and supply chain operations. You'll work across agricultural producers, food processors, waste management companies, transportation providers, and facility operations to build a dependable feedstock supply network.
Candidates with experience in agricultural commodities, waste management, organics recycling, food processing by-products, or renewable energy are encouraged to apply.
What You'll Do
Feedstock Procurement & Commercial Agreements
• Develop sourcing strategies and secure reliable, long-term feedstock supply.
• Identify and negotiate with farmers, agricultural producers, food processors, municipalities, waste haulers, renderers, and other suppliers.
• Negotiate supply contracts, pricing, transportation terms, volume commitments, quality specifications, and tipping fee arrangements.
• Build a diversified supplier network to reduce supply risk and support facility growth.
Supplier Relationships & Supply Chain Management
• Maintain strong supplier relationships and identify new sourcing opportunities.
• Coordinate deliveries, trucking schedules, transportation costs, storage, and inventory with facility operations.
• Monitor supplier performance, feedstock availability, seasonal fluctuations, and market pricing.
• Evaluate competing uses for feedstocks to inform sourcing and contracting decisions.
Feedstock Quality & Operational Performance
• Work with operations teams to ensure incoming materials meet quality and acceptance requirements.
• Assess moisture, solids content, contaminants, and other factors that affect feedstock suitability.
• Collaborate with facility personnel to support anaerobic digestion performance, consistent renewable natural gas production, and efficient operations.
• Track supply volumes, procurement costs, transportation expenses, supplier reliability, and other key performance indicators.
What We're Looking For
• Experience in feedstock procurement, agricultural commodities, supply chain, waste management, organics recycling, food processing, bioenergy, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience sourcing materials, managing suppliers, negotiating commercial agreements, or overseeing commodity procurement.
• Strong commercial judgment and negotiation skills, with the ability to build long-term supplier relationships.
• Understanding of agricultural residues, manure, food processing waste, fats, oils and grease (FOG), or other organic materials is highly valuable.
• Familiarity with transportation logistics, material quality, supply forecasting, and cost management.
• Strong analytical skills and comfort using spreadsheets, reporting tools, and operational data to guide decisions.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across commercial, operations, finance, and external supplier teams.
Experience with anaerobic digestion, renewable natural gas, feedstock quality requirements, environmental regulations, or multi-year supply contracts is a plus.
A bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, agriculture, engineering, economics, or a related field is preferred.
