Doubles/Triples (T) Required Date open: 10/02/2026 Summary: TexDel, Inc. is a Service Provider for FedEx Corporation . We are looking for an experienced driver (CDL Class A with T) to staff designated routes in region from the FedEx terminal in Amarillo, Texas, and back. Home daily. No touch freight. Assigned routes subject to change. *This is not one of our typical positions, as it only requires short-mileage delivery during the week and one regional delivery on the weekend. Therefore, the hours are typically less than full-time unless driver picks up additional shifts. The driver is expected to cover other drivers who are taking paid time off, but it is a small team. This doesn't happen on a regular basis. COMPENSATION (paid weekly) 999 miles at $0.57/mile (to start) + $375 spot pay = $944 gross/week Requires approximately 25 hours/week unless taking on additional shifts Occasional opportunities to pick up additional shifts $0.58/mile after introductory period of 90 days Monthly $200 safety/service bonus. Eligibility after one full month of service. Yearly bonus (varies) SCHEDULE (subject to change): MON-FRI AFTERNOONS: Each weekday there are three low-mileage pick-ups we call “Spots.” Drop an empty trailer and pick up a full one. (Two in town and one at 110 miles round trip) SAT EVENING: Flexible delivery window, round trip to Wichita Falls, Texas If another driver on the team is taking paid time off, the regional manager covers this job's local spot work, and this driver is expected to cover the regional route of the driver taking PTO. This is a small team (6-7 other drivers), so it doesn't happen on a regular basis. During the "peak" holiday season, the driver will be expected to pick up some additional shifts. This is usually mid November through December only. Responsibilities Transport packages to and/or from local businesses and regional FedEx hubs in double pups or 53’ trailers (No loading or unloading of freight required) Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance Document activity with electronic log Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions Operate dolly and connect trailers Collect and verify delivery instructions Report defects, accidents, or violations Manage routes in efficient manner Drop and pick-up loaded and/or empty trailers Maintain current DOT medical card and CDL A with T endorsement Take on additional shifts during holiday peak season Skills: Hands-on experience with electronic log equipment Ability to drive tractor and single or double trailers up to six shifts/week Ability to maneuver, connect, and disconnect trailers and dolly Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc) Clean driving record, with no DOT reportable accident in the last 12 months and no more than 2 in the last three years. Professional, respectful communication in daily work interactions Valid truck driving license: CDL A with T (Doubles/Triples endorsement) Physical Demands: Climb in and out of tractor using three points of contact, safely maneuver dolly equipment, connect and disconnect trailers Experience Requirement: There are three ways to meet the experience requirement . One full year driving a tractor trailer in the last three years (36 months prior to date of application); Six months driving a tractor trailer in the last three years with qualifying training program; or Five full years in last 10 years.
