Bright Flag Recruiting is seeking an experienced Operations Manager (BC) on behalf of a FedEx Ground contractor operating in the Savannah, GA area.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing daily pickup and delivery operations, managing driver performance, ensuring safety and compliance standards, and supporting the overall success of the business. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment and is willing to step in wherever needed to support the team.

Compensation & Benefits

• $70,000-$75,000 annual salary, based on experience

• Weekly pay via direct deposit

Schedule

• Full-time position

• 5-6 day work week

• Weekend availability required as needed

• On-call availability for operational emergencies

• Additional flexibility required during peak season

Location

• Based out of a FedEx Ground terminal in the Savannah, GA area

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of transportation, logistics, or delivery operations management experience required

• Previous FedEx Ground management experience strongly preferred

• Experience with UPS, Amazon DSP, or other last-mile delivery operations is a plus

• Experience using routing, dispatch, and safety management software

• Valid driver's license required

• Must be at least 21 years old

• Ability to drive a large delivery vehicle when operational needs require

• Ability to pass a background check

• Ability to pass a drug screen and DOT physical

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily pickup and delivery operations

• Ensure routes are properly staffed and operating efficiently

• Monitor service performance and driver accountability

• Enforce company policies, safety standards, and compliance requirements

• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training drivers

• Maintain and optimize delivery routes using routing software

• Coordinate fleet maintenance and equipment repairs

• Review and process payroll-related timesheets

• Communicate effectively with drivers and FedEx Ground personnel

• Ensure compliance with Hours of Service requirements, inspections, and required paperwork

• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence

• Provide route coverage when operational needs require
