Duties Safely operate box trucks, vans, or personal vehicles to deliver packages along designated routes while adhering to all traffic laws and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Load, unload, and organize cargo using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks Ensure accurate delivery by verifying recipient information and obtaining signatures when required Maintain vehicle cleanliness, safety inspections, and routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance Communicate effectively with dispatch using mobile devices to report delivery status or address issues promptly Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy packages to prevent injuries and ensure workplace safety Provide excellent customer service by engaging professionally with clients during deliveries and addressing any questions or concerns Qualifications Previous delivery driver experience preferred, especially with courier or van driving roles Warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is advantageous Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving or truck driving experience is a plus Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks Knowledge of safe lifting practices, heavy lifting techniques, and weight handling in the workplace Familiarity with route driving, adhering to traffic regulations, and DOT (Department of Transportation) compliance standards Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally Physical ability to lift heavy packages repeatedly and perform manual handling tasks safely This position is an excellent fit for motivated individuals eager to contribute their driving expertise in a fast-paced environment.
