FedEx Ground Delivery Driver

We prioritize safety, efficiency, and professionalism in every delivery. My Company contracts pickup and delivery services with FedEx Ground. Our contracted area is from Sequim west including Port Angeles, Hwy 112, Forks and Neah Bay. Preemployment screenings include background check, motor vehicle records check and drug screening (including marijuana) Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks to deliver packages along designated routes, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and safety standards. Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques or hand truck/dolly while following safe lifting practices. Manage delivery schedules efficiently by planning routes with mobile devices and GPS tools to maximize productivity. Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness, and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure optimal operation. Experience Prior experience in delivery driving or courier roles is highly preferred but not necessary; familiarity with commercial truck driving or van operation is a plus. Demonstrated ability to lift heavy packages safely and consistently adhere to safe lifting practices. Knowledge of traffic laws and DOT regulations related to commercial driving and weight handling in the workplace. Experience using mobile devices for route navigation and delivery documentation enhances efficiency on the job. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally during all interactions.
