FedEx Ground Delivery Driver

Duties Safely operate box trucks, vans, or personal vehicles to deliver packages along designated routes Load and unload shipments using manual handling techniques Adhere strictly to traffic regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) guidelines, and safety protocols during all driving activities Manage deliveries efficiently by planning routes using mobile devices and GPS technology to optimize time and fuel consumption Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely deliveries and addressing recipient inquiries professionally Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation throughout the shift Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy packages, including manual lifting and moving items of various weights Experience Prior warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is preferred Experience in commercial driving, including box truck or van driver roles, is highly valued, but not mandatory Delivery driver experience demonstrating safe driving habits and route management skills is a plus Knowledge of manual transmission vehicles or experience with manual handling equipment such as pallet jacks enhances your candidacy Ability to lift heavy packages safely and perform manual handling tasks regularly Familiarity with DOT regulations, weight handling in the workplace, and mobile device usage for route navigation is advantageous Strong customer service skills combined with reliable delivery driving experience will set you apart Embark on a rewarding career where your drive makes a difference!
