You'll report to the FedEx Ground terminal in South San Francisco, load your assigned vehicle, complete your daily delivery and pickup routes, and return to the terminal at the end of your shift. This is an active, fast-paced position that requires dependability, attention to detail, safe driving habits, and a commitment to excellent customer service. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Scan, load, organize, and secure packages for daily deliveries and pickups. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Safely operate a delivery vehicle while following all traffic laws and company safety procedures. Complete assigned delivery and pickup stops accurately and efficiently. Use a handheld scanner to track packages and record delivery activity. Provide friendly, professional, and reliable customer service. Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle. Follow proper package handling and lifting procedures. Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, and management. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS Must be at least 21 years of age. Must possess a valid California Class C driver's license. CDL is NOT required. Must have a clean driving record. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must successfully pass a background check, drug screening, DOT physical examination , and road test, as applicable. At least one year of professional driving experience is preferred. Experience in delivery, warehouse operations, commercial driving, or other fast-paced environments is a plus. Must be able to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs. independently. Must be comfortable working in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment. Must be available to work at least one weekend day per week. Must have reliable transportation to and from the South San Francisco terminal. No previous FedEx experience is necessary! Candidates with a strong work ethic and experience in physically demanding or fast-paced jobs may also qualify for our training program.
