Responsibilities Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and vans, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes using mobile devices to ensure timely arrivals at each destination. Provide excellent customer service by delivering packages accurately and professionally, addressing customer questions or concerns courteously. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness, and report any mechanical issues promptly. Handle heavy lifting with safe practices, ensuring proper manual handling techniques are followed to prevent injury. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery confirmation records throughout each shift. Requirements Prior experience as a delivery driver or in warehouse operations involving material handling equipment operation is highly preferred. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial truck driving or van driver experience is advantageous. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles and perform heavy lifting safely. Knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and weight handling in the workplace. Experience with mobile devices for route navigation and communication purposes. Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Physical capability to lift heavy packages regularly and perform manual handling tasks efficiently. Paid training ($100 per day)will be provided that covers delivery/route procedures, standard equipment operations, customer service skills, and driver safety.
