Load and unload shipments efficiently using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment when necessary. Ensure accurate delivery by verifying recipient information and obtaining signatures or proof of delivery as required. Maintain communication with dispatch via mobile devices to receive route updates and report any issues encountered during deliveries. Practice safe lifting practices when handling heavy or bulky packages, minimizing injury risk through proper manual handling methods. Provide excellent customer service by greeting recipients courteously, answering questions, and addressing concerns professionally. Complete all delivery documentation accurately and promptly, including logs of deliveries made and any incidents reported during the shift. Skills Proven experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations with familiarity in commercial driving and route navigation. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles such as box trucks or vans confidently and safely. Strong knowledge of traffic laws, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and weight handling requirements in the workplace. Experience with manual handling, heavy lifting, moving packages, and the use of material handling equipment like pallet jacks. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor. Comfortable using mobile devices for route management and communication purposes. Demonstrated ability to adhere to safety protocols related to warehouse operations, vehicle operation, and load & unload procedures.
