FedEx Delivery Driver

Responsibilities Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and vans, adhering to all traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques,or material handling equipment while practicing safe lifting practices. Plan and follow optimized delivery routes using mobile devices to ensure timely deliveries across designated areas. Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns. Verify delivery details, obtain signatures when required, and document delivery status accurately on mobile devices. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine safety checks to ensure optimal operation. Comply with warehouse operations when loading or unloading packages at distribution centers or hubs. Experience Prior warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is preferred. Proven delivery driver experience, especially with courier services or commercial driving roles involving step vans and box trucks. Knowledge of safe lifting practices, heavy lifting techniques, and weight handling in the workplace is essential. Ability to adhere strictly to traffic regulations, DOT regulations, and safety protocols during route driving. Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional communication style. Comfortable using mobile devices for route navigation, delivery documentation, and communication purposes.
