FedEx Delivery Driver

Duties Safely operate a box truck or cargo van for daily delivery routes, ensuring timely and accurate package drop-offs. Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment, following safe lifting practices. Adhere strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, traffic laws, and company policies during all driving activities. Navigate route driving efficiently using mobile devices or GPS systems to optimize delivery schedules. Provide excellent customer service by greeting recipients professionally, answering questions, and ensuring package security upon delivery. Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and documentation of all inbound and outbound shipments on the device. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs to ensure optimal safety and compliance. Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver, courier, or in warehouse operations involving material handling equipment operation. Strong knowledge of commercial driving, including box truck or van driver experience with manual transmission preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely while following workplace weight handling standards. Familiarity with warehouse operations, moving procedures, and the use of load & unload equipment such as pallet jacks. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; adherence to traffic regulations is essential. Customer-focused attitude with effective communication skills for engaging with clients professionally. Ability to operate mobile devices for route navigation and delivery documentation efficiently.
