Federal Specialized Sales Engineer, Power Systems

We are seeking a Federal Power Systems Inside Sales Engineer to provide technical and operational sales support for the Power Systems business. What will you do in this position? Sales Enablement: Support Strategic Account Executives, Territory Account Executives, Specialized Sales Engineers, and Schneider field offices with opportunity development, product selection, quoting coordination, and other day-to-day sales activities for the federal Power Systems business. Assist with technical proposals, submittals, presentations, and responses to RFPs/RFIs by gathering and organizing required product and application information. Maintain working knowledge of Schneider Electric product releases, tools, lead times, industry requirements, and competitive information to support timely sales responses. Customer Engagement: Support customer meetings and virtual discussions by preparing technical information, documenting follow-up items, and coordinating responses across Schneider Electric's Power Systems business. Help clarify customer requirements and coordinate with internal technical and commercial teams to address questions and application needs. Assist with equipment selection, basic solution development, and preparation of supporting documentation that aligns with customer requirements. Internal Collaboration: Build effective working relationships within the Power Systems Business Unit and coordinate with federal account executives, quotation teams, operations, and field offices to support a consistent One Schneider customer experience. Track customer questions, open actions, proposal inputs, and internal follow-ups to help keep opportunities moving on schedule. Maintain sales support materials, reference documents, opportunity information, and recurring reports as needed by the federal sales team. (External) English Qualifications: This role might be a great fit for you if: Technical Expertise: Working knowledge of Schneider Electric's Power Systems or Square D product line, with the ability to expand product knowledge through training and hands-on support. Experience supporting low-voltage and medium-voltage equipment applications, quotations, or technical documentation. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., cybersecurity, safety). Customer-Facing Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to organize and explain technical information clearly. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with customers and cross-functional internal teams while managing multiple requests and priorities. Experience working with federal government agencies or customers a plus. Sales Support Experience: Experience supporting sales teams through quotation coordination, proposal preparation, order or project follow-up, and customer response activities. Familiarity with the federal government procurement process and sales cycle is preferred. Ability to review customer requirements, identify missing information, and coordinate the appropriate technical response. Additional Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. Experience with CRM, quotation, proposal, and Microsoft 365 tools is a plus. Willingness to travel occasionally for customer meetings, training, and site support. Let us learn about you! Apply today.
