The Opportunity In this role you will have the responsibility to: Function as a technical specialist or in a lead master planning role. With minimal supervision, apply advanced planning techniques and analyses for problems and methods. Expand knowledge and skill set in area of discipline. May start to expand knowledge in other disciplines and/or functional areas. Support and/or lead consultant role on military or civil master planning assignments such as Planning Studies, Vision Plans, Comprehensive/ Master Plans, Requirements Analyses, Area Development Plans, Space Optimization Studies, Environmental Plans, Recreation Plans, Economic and Physical analyses, Planning workshops, and development activities on military, federal agency and commercial projects worldwide. The Team Black & Veatch Operations develops, deploys, and maintains global resources and capabilities that guide execution and process excellence across the organization. Key Responsibilities Leading small production teams; coordinating multiple discipline activity; and serving as the technical lead for a project. Actively coordinates with all other internal/external team members on moderately complex projects. Responsible for assisting with identification of key client interests and drivers on moderately complex projects and may determine the key clients in some instances. Communicates client interests and drivers to project team members and develops approaches to accommodate these concerns in the performance of the work on projects. Prepares a variety of complex planning deliverables, including report narratives and graphics/mapping for larger or multiple projects. Manages assigned budget, schedule, and quality requirements. May offer other services to the clients. Facilitation and active participation in planning charrettes, while working with a diverse multi-disciplinary team.
