Role: Behavior Technician (BT) – Clinical Operations Coordinator
Position Summary
The BT Clinical Coordinator supports the clinical and operational functions of the classroom by focusing on administrative coordination, scheduling, and ensuring adherence to clinical policies and procedures. This role works closely with the Clinical Director, BCBAs, and Operations team to promote consistency, compliance, and efficiency within the classroom environment while maintaining a client-centered approach.
This position is less direct therapy focused and more centered on organization, oversight, documentation, and team coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative & Operational Support
- Coordinate daily classroom operations to ensure smooth clinical and administrative workflow
- Maintain and organize client and staff documentation in accordance with company policy and regulatory requirements
- Assist with tracking staff credentials, trainings, and compliance documentation
- Support data organization and ensure required documentation is completed accurately and on time
- Serve as a liaison between clinical staff and operations to address administrative needs
Policy Adherence & Classroom Oversight
- Monitor classroom activities to ensure adherence to clinical protocols, company policies, and ethical standards
- Support implementation of behavior plans as written by the BCBA, ensuring staff follow approved procedures
- Provide real-time feedback and reminders to staff regarding policy, documentation standards, and classroom expectations
- Assist in onboarding and orienting new staff to classroom routines and policies
- Identify and communicate concerns related to compliance, safety, or workflow to leadership
Scheduling & Staffing Coordination
- Create and maintain staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage for clients and classrooms
- Adjust schedules as needed due to staff absences, client cancellations, or operational changes
- Communicate schedule changes clearly and professionally to staff and leadership
- Assist with planning coverage for meetings, trainings, and special events
Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate with BCBAs and leadership to support clinical consistency and operational efficiency
- Serve as a point of contact for classroom-related administrative questions
- Participate in meetings as needed to support clinical coordination and planning
Qualifications
- Current or previous experience as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavior Technician (BT)
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in an ABA clinical or classroom setting preferred
- Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills
- Working knowledge of ABA documentation, compliance standards, and ethical guidelines
- Proficiency with scheduling systems, electronic medical records (EMR), and basic office software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
