Fashion Buyer (15-Month Contract)

The Opportunity

When a strong fashion point of view meets data-driven decision making, that’s where great buying happens. As a Fashion Buyer, for our Penn.Pennington brand, you’ll define the assortment — what we buy, how much, at what price, and when it lands — ensuring our customers find pieces they love every time they shop.

Reporting to the Merchandising Director, you’ll play a key role in shaping seasonal strategies, driving performance, and delivering compelling, trend-right assortments across our stores and digital channels.

What You’ll Do

• Curate the assortment – Build seasonal buys that reflect our customer, brand vision, and business strategy.
• Balance creativity with analytics – Partner with Planning and Allocation to forecast demand, manage inventory flow, and optimize sales performance.
• Stay ahead of trends – Identify key fashion trends and translate them into commercially successful product selections.
• Drive strategy – Collaborate on pricing, promotions, visual direction, and product storytelling to maximize impact.
• Lead cross-functional execution – Work closely with Design, Production, Planning, Marketing, and Stores to deliver on time and on budget.
• Coach and collaborate – Share knowledge, support teammates, and help develop future merchandising talent.

What You Bring

• University or College degree in related field of study
• Minimum 5 years of merchandising management/ retail buying experience
• Strong fashion intuition paired with analytical thinking
• Experience building assortments and managing product performance
• A customer-first mindset with a passion for trends and retail
• Ability to manage timelines, priorities, and multiple seasons at once
• bilingual to communicate with partners outside Quebec
