Youngquist AgJob Overview Join our dynamic Farm and Fertilizer Business as a CDL Truck Driver, where you will play a vital role in transporting agricultural products, fertilizers, and related supplies across diverse routes. This energetic position offers the opportunity to operate tankers and grain trailers ensuring timely deliveries that support our own farm and fertilizer business delivery between our farm and our grain site as well as delivery of liquid and dry fertilizer to our farmer customers. Your expertise in commercial truck driving and logistics will help keep our operations efficient, safe, and compliant with all federal and state regulations. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, on over-the-road (OTR) routes to deliver farm supplies and fertilizers. Load and unload freight efficiently while adhering to proper cargo handling procedures for hazardous materials and dangerous goods. Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across multiple locations. Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) standards, and hazardous materials regulations during all operations. Transport automobile parts or equipment as needed for farm-related logistics or delivery purposes. Maintain accurate delivery logs, inspection reports, and documentation related to freight handling, load securement, and route completion. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met; report any mechanical issues promptly. Skills Proven experience driving commercial trucks with manual transmission and tractor-trailers in various environments. Strong knowledge of truck loading/unloading procedures, including freight handling for hazardous or dangerous goods. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and specialized equipment used in agricultural logistics. Ability to operate GPS navigation systems confidently for route planning and adjustments. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, hazard materials handling regulations, and safety protocols for commercial driving. Skilled in manual handling techniques necessary for load securement and cargo management. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, route driving efficiency, and customer service during delivery driving tasks.
