Faculty Position in Materials Science and Engineering
Michigan Materials Science and EngineeringThe Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE), College of Engineering, University of Michigan, seeks outstanding applicants for a tenure-track assistant professor faculty position. Applications are invited in all areas of materials science and engineering, but are particularly encouraged in sustainable metallurgy (including, but not limited to) critical minerals and metals, decarbonization of metals production and processing, and recyclability. Qualifications: We seek individuals who can develop and lead an externally-funded research program, collaborate across materials-related disciplines, teach undergraduate and graduate MSE courses, and provide service to the University and the materials profession. The applicant must hold a Ph.D. degree in Materials Science and Engineering or a related engineering or science discipline.
