Facility Supervisor

WE WILL CONTACT YOU FOR AN INTERVIEW.**** Position Summary The Facility Supervisor is an hourly, hands-on role responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations and working closely with warehouse personnel. Employees are paid biweekly. The typical schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on business needs and will be scheduled and compensated in accordance with applicable wage-and-hour laws. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Implement policies and procedures as directed by management and outlined in the Employee Handbook. Manage employee schedules as directed by management. Communicate clearly and professionally in person, by radio, and in writing. Report to work on time and remain for the full shift, including overtime when required by business conditions. Open and close assigned warehouse facilities as scheduled. Maintain accurate and up-to-date work orders and appointment logs. Coordinate with warehouse personnel, including laborers, forklift drivers, heavy-equipment operators, and samplers, as applicable. Provide coverage when a Facility Supervisor, Shift Supervisor, or Lead Clerk is unexpectedly absent or late. Manage multiple tasks and changing priorities effectively. Ensure critical paperwork is completed accurately and submitted to the office on time. Perform manual labor as required. Climb stairs and ladders as required. Work on loading docks approximately 4.5 feet above ground level. Work safely around heavy machinery. Travel to and work at any company warehouse as assigned, including multiple locations in a single day. Perform other job-related duties as needed, provided the employee is trained, qualified, and authorized to perform them safely. Prepare for the next day by planning crew assignments for upcoming shipments and product receiving. Qualifications The successful candidate will be organized, dependable, and an effective communicator. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position. This position also requires the ability to travel between warehouse locations and the main office, potentially on a daily basis. Skills The role requires the ability to communicate clearly with employees and office personnel, manage multiple tasks, use telephones and radios effectively, interpret work orders, and complete required paperwork accurately. Physical Demands The physical demands described below are representative of those required to perform the essential functions of this position. The employee frequently walks and bends, uses their hands to handle or operate work-related items and equipment, climbs stairs and ladders, and works on loading docks approximately 4.5 feet above ground level. Work Environment This position involves work both inside and outside The Kearney Companies’ warehouse facilities and yards. Employees may be exposed to changing weather conditions, elevated loading docks, moving vehicles, and heavy machinery. Employees must follow all applicable safety procedures, use required personal protective equipment (PPE) and remain aware of activity and equipment in the surrounding work area.
