The Facilities Operations Assistant is essential in maintaining the functionality and appearance of our facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all. The ideal candidate possesses strong mechanical knowledge and customer service skills, enabling them to address various maintenance/janitorial tasks effectively while providing excellent support to staff and visitors.
OPERATIONS RESPONSIBILITIES
Distribution of small packages to each dept. (Amazon, Fed-Ex, Ups, etc)
Support delivery teams with truck cleaning, staging and prepping
Assist with returns and inventory organization post-events
General labor support for event preparation
Upholstery cleaning and prepping
Assist with workspace for internal moves or new hire workstation set-ups
Assist with dump runs to nearby waste facilities & supply runs at Home Depot/Lowe's.
Proven experience in facilities maintenance, janitorial services or a related field.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot.
Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
Experience in handyman tasks is a plus.
Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Ability to be physically active throughout the day.
Occasional heavy lifting (40+ lb. / 13.6+ kg) can be expected, though exertion of up to 10 lbs. of force is more common.
Need good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment (e.g., computers, mobile devices, copiers).
The job is performed indoors in a warehouse office setting
Activities include extended periods of sitting, movement, and extensive work at a computer and phone.
