North Florida Surgeons, P.A.Facilities & Medical Equipment Courier Department: Operations / Facilities Location: Florida Eye Specialists Employment Type: Full-Time Pay: $20.00–$23.00 per hour, pay based on experience Reports To: Director of Operations / Facilities Manager Position Summary Florida Eye Specialists is seeking a dependable, hands-on Facilities & Medical Equipment Courier to support the day-to-day operations of our multiple medical offices. This position will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting medical supplies, equipment, furniture, documents, and other materials between Florida Eye Specialists locations. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, comfortable driving throughout Northeast Florida, and capable of safely lifting, moving, loading, and unloading heavy equipment and supplies. This position will also assist with basic maintenance, equipment setup, and minor handyman tasks at our offices as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Deliver and transport medical supplies, equipment, furniture, files, and other materials between Florida Eye Specialists offices. Load, unload, lift, carry, and safely secure supplies and equipment during transportation. Ensure items are delivered to the correct location and department in a timely manner. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe company vehicle when one is provided. Perform routine vehicle checks and promptly report any maintenance or safety concerns. Assist with moving, setting up, or rearranging equipment, furniture, and office items as needed. Assist with basic handyman and facility tasks, including: Hanging pictures, signs, or bulletin boards Minor furniture assembly Replacing light bulbs and batteries Basic adjustments or minor repairs Moving or assembling office equipment Assisting with minor office and facility maintenance Assist with office moves, new office setups, and special projects as needed. Pick up and deliver supplies, packages, and other materials from vendors or other locations when necessary. Maintain accurate delivery and pickup records when required. Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting and handling techniques. Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality when transporting medical records, supplies, or other patient-related materials. Provide professional and courteous service to physicians, staff, vendors, and other members of the organization. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record required. Reliable personal transportation is required. A company vehicle may be provided in the future; however, the employee must have reliable transportation available for work-related travel until a company vehicle is available. Ability to safely lift and carry heavy supplies and equipment. Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required. Comfortable driving between multiple office locations throughout the workday. Basic knowledge of tools and ability to perform minor handyman tasks. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Ability to interact professionally with physicians, employees, vendors, and other members of the organization. Previous experience in delivery, facilities, maintenance, healthcare, warehouse, or a similar environment is preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry heavy supplies, equipment, and boxes. Ability to push and pull carts and equipment. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and climb stairs as needed. Ability to safely load and unload items from a vehicle. Ability to safely move and position equipment and furniture as required. Ability to work indoors and outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
