Job Summary Telework (Within Minnesota or neighboring states) and flexible hours options are available. This position exists to support the agency operations of the Minnesota Department of Children, Youth and Families. Under general supervision, incumbent sorts and distributes incoming Federal and state mail and prepares outgoing mail. Consults with Department of Administration Central Mail to make recommendations on use of post office boxes and street delivery based on business needs. Establishes and modifies procedures to increase the operational efficiency of the mailroom, receiving and central supply. Receives shipments at loading dock and processes these shipments according to agency procedures. Determines inventory needs of agency by analyzing usage reports and applying knowledge of inventory practices for computer peripherals, standard office supplies, copier supplies, and other business inventory as required. Maintains secure storage of agency assets. Acts as agency Sustainability Coordinator for approximately 90,000 square foot leased agency facility. Partners with Procurement on asset life, staff assigned asset tracking, and proper disposal of retired assets. Coordinates with reception staff to ensure coverage of reception desk and main agency phone line. Responsibilities include: Perform the associated tasks in the receipt, processing and distribution of all incoming and outgoing deliveries, postal and interoffice mail to DCYF. This process should be clearly defined and maintained in approved DCYF policies. Support Procurement in maintaining accurate records of current assets and proper disposal of assets at end of life. Acts as agency Sustainability Coordinator following the Office of Enterprise Sustainability job description for facilities under 1,000,000 square feet.
