Facilities Courier

JOB SUMMARY: This employee is primarily responsible for driving a designated route each day and picking up and delivering interoffice mail, packages, bulk food, and supplies. Additionally, they are responsible for assisting with other facility related duties to ensure coverage and specific needs of the program are met. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Drives a scheduled route to deliver interoffice mail to all Alta Care Group sites across all locations. 2. Assists in the creation of, revisions to scheduled routes. 3. Delivers supplies, packages, and other large items to sites as needed. 4. Assist if needed, with packaging and distributing of bulk food to centers. 5. Assist with moving classrooms and clean up, when needed. 6. Assist with event set up on occasion and when needed. 7. On occasion will substitute as a bus aide when needed. 8. Responsible for various errands as assigned by the Program Director and the immediate supervisor. 9. Maintain appropriate vehicle tracking log and turn in monthly. 10. Keeps the mail van clean and inspects regularly for necessary maintenance. 11. Follows all traffic safety laws and regulations. 12. Attend meetings as deemed necessary by the immediate supervisor. 13. All other duties as assigned. RESPONSIBILITIES/EXPECTATIONS: Support Alta principles and adhere to Mission Statement. Must maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times. Must maintain confidentiality and discretion. Must be able to relate to individuals of all ethnic social-economic backgrounds. Ability to work independently in and within a group when necessary. Must maintain professional interaction with customers, vendors and all levels of the organization. Continuously seeking methods of improvement for efficient operations. QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds. Must be able to pass BCI/FBI background check in accordance with ODJFS Licensing regulations. Must be able to pass drug screening. Must be able to pass a medical exam in accordance with ODJFS licensing Regulations. Must be able to provide documentation of being free from communicable tuberculosis in accordance with Head Start Standards. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Minimum requirement of a High School Diploma or equivalent required. Previous driving or delivery experience preferred.
