You will work with a broad range of talented individuals delivering quality products in a timely manner at our Young Touchstone business unit. You’ll partner with professionals across multiple departments and work alongside other Operators and Welders. As a member of the Heat Transfer & Energy Solutions team, you will be responsible for providing services and support to internal and external customers and suppliers to ensure materials, processes and products meet or exceed specifications. This position is based at our Jackson, TN location and reports directly to the area Supervisor. Job Description How will you make a difference? As a Fabrication Operator, you will follow specified work instructions and/or engineering parts drawings to assemble a wide variety of products. You will be responsible for the quality of your work, and meeting production standards. You will continually look for ways to improve our production processes and make Safety your #1 priority every day. What will your typical day look like? Operate and maintain fabrication machinery and equipment, including cutting, bending, and welding tools. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to produce parts according to specifications. Set up machines and adjust settings for optimal performance and precision. Perform quality checks on fabricated parts to ensure they meet required standards. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines. Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns. Assist in inventory management of materials and supplies. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality. You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary. Qualifications What do we want to know about you? Do you have the following required skills and education? High School Graduate or GED. 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing or fabrication Proficiency in operating fabrication machinery and equipment Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints Strong attention to detail and quality control skills Basic math skills for measurements and calculations Safety-conscious mindset and adherence to safety protocols Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds Excellent time management and organizational skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Vocational training in manufacturing or fabrication is preferred Familiarity with manufacturing industry practices is a plus What about the physical demands of the job?
