Fabrication Material Handler
Weibee SteelOverview Location: Weibee Steel in Norman, OK Starting pay: $16–$18 per hour, depending on experience We’re looking for a dependable, organized person to help keep our fitters supplied with the parts and plate they need. This is an entry-level position with an opportunity to learn how a fabrication shop operates. What you’ll do Work with fitters and shop leadership to find out what materials are needed for upcoming jobs. Locate and pull the required parts and plate. Check part numbers, quantities, and material sizes to make sure the pieces are correct. Organize, stack, and stage materials so they’re ready when fitters need them. Let the appropriate person know when parts are missing, damaged, or incorrect. Keep material storage and staging areas clean, organized, and safe. Follow shop safety procedures for handling and moving materials. What we’re looking for Dependability and a willingness to learn. Attention to detail and the ability to keep parts organized. Basic measuring and counting skills. The ability to follow instructions and communicate with the team. A willingness to work in a hands-on shop environment. Previous fabrication or material-handling experience is helpful but not required. Training provided.
