Fabrication Estimator / Material Purchaser Franklin, PA | Full-Time | $73,000 - $79,000 About You You're an organized, detail-oriented manufacturing professional with experience in fabrication, welding, purchasing, or estimating. You understand fabrication processes, can interpret blueprints and drawings, and have the ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and production personnel. You enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where accuracy, responsiveness, and strong relationships are critical to success. You're comfortable using computers, managing multiple priorities, and helping ensure projects move efficiently from quote to production. Day in the Life: As a Fabrication Estimator / Material Purchaser, you can expect to: Review customer RFQs, blueprints, drawings, and specifications Prepare accurate quotations for fabrication and welding projects Estimate labor, material, processing, and subcontracting requirements Communicate directly with customers regarding project requirements and quotations Develop and maintain positive customer relationships through responsive service Purchase raw materials and production supplies Obtain pricing and negotiate with vendors and suppliers Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate inventory records Coordinate material availability to support production schedules Work closely with production, engineering, and management teams Track costs and identify opportunities for improved efficiency and profitability Manage multiple projects while meeting customer and production deadlines What You Need to Apply: Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Experience in fabrication, welding, manufacturing, purchasing, inventory control, estimating, or a related field Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Professional and positive attitude when working with customers, vendors, and coworkers Preferred Qualifications Experience estimating fabrication and welding projects Experience purchasing steel, plate, structural material, and manufacturing supplies Inventory management experience Familiarity with ERP or manufacturing software systems (JOB BOSS) Knowledge of fabrication, welding, and manufacturing processes What You'll Get: Competitive Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary: $73,000 - $79,000 per year Profit Sharing 401(k) with Company Match Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Paid Vacation and Personal Time 10 Paid Holidays Stable, growing company with long-term career opportunities Opportunity to work with an experienced manufacturing team Why Shaw Industries & Welding Technologies?
